In 2013 I moved to Basel from Hong Kong and realised the food scene here was lacking the kind of Chinese food I was used to at home.
I missed my comfort foods and the only way was to make it myself. I always loved to cook, I remember when I was young I would watch my grandma and mother cook family dinners and listened carefully when they exchanged cooking tips on the dinner table.
It became clear that this was what I wanted to do - to introduce Basel to the true Chinese (specifically Cantonese) flavours and dishes.
I started with a small food stand and later on was lucky enough to open my own small restaurant - Dragon Girl Kitchen.
My food is all about home cooking and flavours. I insist to offer my customers typical dishes that I would eat at home or in local eateries. My way of cooking has always been sticking to tradition and highlighting authentic flavours of Hong Kong.
